Benefitting the Greater Boston Food Bank

Happy Friday, music nerds!
I recently heard of a concert series that looks to be nourishing in more ways than one! A group of faculty members from New England Conservatory, led by violist Kim Kashkashian, will present chamber music performances to benefit the Greater Boston Food Bank. Instead of buying a ticket, audience members are asked to bring non-perishable food items for Food Bank (monetary donations will be gladly accepted as well).
Each concert will feature a Mozart Viola Quintet and a work by J.S. Bach. On the program tonight: Bach’s Sixth Cello Suite, and Mozart’s First Viola Quintet. The series will continue on December 10th, January 7th, February 11th, and March 11th.
Come enjoy some musical sustenance while helping those in need – and tell ’em Miss Music Nerd sent you!
