I’ve received some great ideas for Music Nerd Merit Badges already! Here’s one from music nerd Kathryn, a.k.a The Artsy Honker, who says, “The ‘You play the WHAT?’ badge for players of unusual instruments? As a serpent player I get this very frequently!” I know there are plenty of music nerds out there who go through similar travails due to their devotion to the shawm, theremin, digeridoo, oud, hammered dulcimer, and many others.

Herewith, I give you The “You play the WHAT?” badge, in two versions: One for wind or brass-like instruments:

…and one for instruments you strum, hit, wave your hands at, etc.!
